Abstract

Experimental investigation have been carried out to evaluate the frictional pressure drop across different piping components such as orifices, gate and globe valves, elbows and bends in 0.0127 m piping components for non-Newtonian pseudoplastic liquid in laminar flow. Empirical correlations have been developed for the prediction of the frictional pressure drop in terms of the various physical and dynamic variables of the system.
