Abstract
AbstractBased on higher order statistics property containing signal phase information, i.e. fourth order cumulant and its fourth order spectral on a received seismic signal, a novel approach for estimating non‐minimum phase seismic wavelets is proposed. This can be fully reconstructed from the fourth order spectrum by using only spectral decomposing of a seismic wavelet into minimum and maximum phases in an arbitrary Gaussian environment. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by computer simulation.
