Abstract

In this paper we use the equivalence, from the thermodynamic point of view, between a classical one-dimensional anisotropic antiferromagnet in an external magneticfield and a ferromagnet with two anisotropies, to calculate the inverse correlation length and soliton energy for the former model. Our calculation is found to be in good agreement with experimental data for TMMC | (CD 3) 4NMnCl 3 |.
