Abstract

We report calculations of the decay of the nuclear magnetization of different isochromats in the NMR absorption spectrum of solid mixtures of ortho-para hydrogen. The calculated decays show significant departures from exponential recovery and are in good overall agreement with experimental results reported elsewhere. A slowly component, characteristic of the quadrupolar glass phase is predicted at long times.
