Abstract
The measurements of the dependence of the energy of strong nuclear interaction on the distance between nucleons in nucleus were performed for the first time. By the adding one neutron to hydrogen nucleus we enable the strong interaction. The initial components of mixed crystals LiHxD1−x are LiH (no strong interaction in the hydrogen nucleus) and LiD (with strong interaction in the deuterium nucleus) crystals are dielectrics with cubic symmetry. The change of the concentration of deuterium in mixed crystals LiHxD1−x determines the change in the distance between nucleons, which is directly manifested in the position of the phononless free exciton emission line in the low - temperature luminescence spectrum. A series of such measurements made it possible to construct a function of the dependence of the energy of strong nuclear interaction on the distance between nucleons in the deuterium nucleus.
