Abstract

NMR spectroscopy proved to be an invaluable tool to study the interaction between monodentate and bidentate nitrogen bases and tungsten(VI) fluoride and oxide fluorides in solution. 1H, 19F, and 13C spectra including 2D COSY experiments were used for these studies. Pyridine, and 2,F-pyridine were used as monodentate bases and 2,2′- bipyridyl as a bidentate base. The results obtained are discussed in terms of the chemistry and structural features of the species present in these systems.
