Abstract

In article number advs. 2002991, Xincun Dou and co-workers report the precise regulation of the benzothiazole (BT) binding sites, including the para-, meso-, and ortho-positions on the aniline moiety and the sensing performance toward nitrite. This unique design enables an ultra-sensitive, specific, and rapid response of ortho-BT to nitrite, and favors a robust green emission signal for on-site and semiquantitative nitrite detection.
