Abstract
The reaction of (Ph 2PNH) 2CS with nickel(II) chloride hexahydrate in methanol proceeds with methanolysis of a P–N bond to give trans-[Ni{Ph 2PNHC(S)NH 2–P,S} 2]Cl 2, whose structure has been confirmed by X-ray crystallography.
