Abstract

Abstract For the first time Si–C-podands 1 – 3 (with Si–C bonds) have been studied as efficient and powerful catalysts in typical anion promoted reactions under solid–liquid conditions, even in low polarity solvent. Their complexation extent of Na + and K + and catalytic activities are comparable with those of the classical solid–liquid phase transfer catalysts, Si-podands ( 4 , 5 ) reported in our earlier works.
