Abstract

Rough Sets and Mathematical Morphology theories are both defined through dual operators sharing similar properties. This allows to establish equivalences between the basic morphological operators and rough sets. The concept of Influence Zones has been widely studied and used successfully in applications that are solved by Mathematical Morphology techniques. In this work we define the Rough Sets by Influence Zones based in morphological concept. To the best of our knowledge, this approach has not been explored until now.KeywordsBinary ImageInformation SystemDigital Image ProcessingMathematical MorphologyDecision AttributeThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
