Abstract

Samples from the Dong Van Karst Plateau, north-eastern Vietnam, contained the three freshwater halacarid species Lobohalacarus weberi (Romijn and Viets 1924), Soldanellonyx monardi Walter, 1919 and Soldanellonyx visurgis Viets, 1959. Soldanellonyx visurgis is re-described and the characters of the other species are outlined. Lobohalacarus weberi and S. visurgis are new records from the Oriental Region. All three species are cosmopolitan. Soldanellonyx monardi saranganensis Viets, 1929, one of the four previously known species from the Oriental Region, is no valid subspecies.
