Abstract

We propose a wireless power distribution system (WPDS) in buildings as the application of a microwave power transmission (MPT). We have two problems against a commercial MPT system. One is a frequency regulation and the other is a shortage of the technically and economically effective application. We can solve the both problems with the WPDS in buildings. The microwave propagates in the deck plate waveguide and there is no radiation. We can reduce the total cost of the buildings in whole life and can increase the benefit of use of electricity with the WPDS. Therefore, the WPDS is one of the first promising applications of the MPT. We are building experimental room with the WPDS and will carry out the experiments in this year.
