Abstract
Neutron fibre diffraction has been used to determine the orientation of phenyl rings with respect to the polymer backbone in poly (aryl-ether-ether-ketone) (PEEK). Results obtained from this study indicate that the orientation of the phenyl ring differs by 7° from the previously accepted value based on X-ray fibre diffraction studies.
