Abstract
In MANET, topology control is the main issue. Due to unconditional topology limitations, the network may get failures in such scenariors. Energy efficiency of network will get affected due to presence of network partition. In previous, the lack of balancing the topology control and energy efficiency was analyzed. To avoid this, several researches concentrated on this issue. But it is not focused on periodically. In this research work, it is developed that Network Connectivity based Energy Efficient Topology Control Scheme that is focused on both network connectivity and energy consumption. Network and Interference model are integrated with proposed scheme to make high network connectivity. The power consumption of mobile nodes is also determined and validated in each and every route. Packet format of proposed scheme consists of power consumption and link availability. From that status of link availability to destination, power consumption of mobile nodes is periodically monitored. The proposed scheme is stimulated with Network Simulator (NS2) to analyze its performance in terms of network lifetime, packet delivery ratio, overhead and end to end delay than the existing schemes like NCTC and DM.
