Abstract

The authors of this article have tried to systematize memoir testimonies, some archival data and scientific publications about the creative union of the composer M.I. Glinka, the writer N.V Kukolnik and the painter K.P. Bryullov. Here we consider the influence of the “triumvirate” on the artistic life of the capital and the fate of representatives of Russian culture close to it. Special attention is paid to the “Art newspaper” of N. V Kukolnik. The article examines its content, value judgments and influence on the development of contemporary Russian culture.
