Abstract

Resistance genes (R genes) are responsible for the resistance of plants to different types of phytopathogenes, including viruses. The resistance of potatoes to virus X is determined by Rx genes that belong to the large NBS-LRR class of R genes of plants. This review considers the known data on resistance genes to potato virus X, their structure, and model of their functioning.
