Abstract

For eight years we have been trying to come up with a way to get acquainted with knowledge in various fields in order to bring together recent experiences that help a better understanding of sound and even of music as an important form of communication in the technological age. The text is an initial exercise in reflection on the invisible webs of the sound of the world and on how we weave (often without realizing it) innumerable relationships. Attention is drawn not only to the amplitude of the theme but especially to geophony, a discipline that would help to encompass a wide range of sound phenomena nowadays studied by music, bioacoustics and acoustic engineering, among others. The goal is to achieve a more adequate understanding of how we hearively perceive the world around us, not to ignore what has silently gone unnoticed.
