Abstract

Experiment of laminar flame by coaxial DBD plasma actuator was conducted. In the experiment, changed the equivalent ratio of propane and air at a digital mass flow controller. The high AC voltage is applied to the coaxial DBD plasma actuator, to generate a DBD plasma. Also induced flow is generated by DBD plasma. The direction of the induced flow was focused. Its direction is two ways to counter as along the main flow. The voltage was changed to V = 4kV, 10kV, 16kV, the frequency was changed to f = 0.3kHz, 0.5kHz, 0.7kHz, 1kHz 4kHz. When a voltage is applied, it was possible to suppress the flame blowoff. As a result of focusing on the direction of the induced flow, because the direction was good to generate the induced flow in the main flow against direction, we have developed a nozzle with a focus in that direction. As a results with hot-wire, in the voltage applied 16kV, we were able to confirm the change of speed in the vicinity of the nozzle.
