Abstract

The present paper describes the results of hemagglutination test with tuberculinsensitized red cells on the sera of the white rats inoculated with the rat leprosy bacilli.1) Experiment A. Fifteen of 16 infected animals showed positive reaction, with the hemagglutination titres being from 1: 4 to 1:128.2) Experiment B. In the early stages of the infection, all the sera of inoculated animals demonstrated negative reactions. Only the two animals became positive 6 months after inoculation.3) Hemagglutination titres seem not to correlate with the weight of superficial leproma, but to the grade of leprous changes of visceral organs.
