Abstract
最近の免疫学や分子生物学の急速な発展によって, 癌に対する遺伝子治療の開発が活発に行われるようになってきた。現段階では遺伝子を導入することで癌細胞に対する免疫を増強することを目的とする免疫遺伝子療法が主に行われている。欧米におけるメラノーマに対する遺伝子治療の臨床研究を総括すれば, 以下の結論が得られる。1. 遺伝子治療は実行可能な治療法である。2. 安全性の面では問題なく, 毒性も低い。3. メラノーマ細胞に対して全身的な細胞性および液性免疫反応を惹起する。4. 投与局所における効果は認められるが, 全身的な効果は稀である。今後の展開としては免疫原性がなく, 効率がよくかつ選択性に優れたベクターやより強力な細胞傷害性T細胞の誘導法の開発が望まれる。
