Abstract
Three cases of carcinoma in pleomorphic adenoma of the parapharyngeal space are reported. All cases were resected surgically through the lateral cervical approach. The histological diagnosis made at the time of transoral biopsy before operation in two cases was benign, but postoperative diagnosis was malignant. According to recent reports, cases of malignant parapharyngeal tumors are increasing. If the tumor is suspected malignant, surgical resection should be performed immediately without transoral biopsy
