Abstract
湖陸風が発達する日の夕刻琵琶湖北部流域では,それまでの湖風に代わって,北寄りまたは東寄りの風が吹くようになる.この風の成因と特性を明らかにするために,琵琶湖北東岸の尾上で地上風の観測(1985～1986年の夏季)と風・気温の鉛直観測(1985年8月2～4日)を行なった.その結果は次のように要約される. (1) 北寄り風 (NW-N) の出現は,一般風の風向と無関係であるが,南東系の一般風が強まると東寄り風(E-SE)が出現する. (2) 北寄り風は,若狭湾岸域から進行する海風と考えられる.地上風の解析から,北寄り風の平均的な風速は3.5m/s,継続時間は16時から21時の5時間,水平スケール(風速×継続時間)は60km程度であった. (3) 東寄り風は,南東系の一般風が地峡部で変形されたダシ風であると考えられる.1985年8月2～4日に出現した東寄り風の風速は7～11m/s,継続時間は17時から翌朝7時の14時間,鉛直スケールは300～500mであった.
