Abstract
The thorium content in sea water was estimated to be 0.091-0.026 microgram per liter on analysing the coastal waters of Suma, Hyogo Prefecture and Ataka, Ishikawa Prefecture by a method of colorimetric analysis.Thorium could not be found in filtered sea water and was caught quantitatively on filter paper. The experiment indicates that thorium exists as suspension in sea water.
