Abstract
The horizontal pneumatic conveyance of powder was experimentally investigated by using a Mohno pump. The frequency distribution of the plugs, the characteristics of plug velocity, plug length, pressure gradient and solid friction factor were clarified according to the variation in pipe diameter, the speed of pump rotation and air velocity.
