Abstract
宮崎市産のワタノメイガをスイフヨウの葉を餌として室内で飼育し,発育に及ぼす温度と日長の影響を調べ,野外での発生消長と対比し,本種の宮崎地方での生活環を考察した。以下はその要約である。1) ワタノメイガの未成熟ステージ(卵～成虫羽化)の発育日数は17.5℃,20℃,22,5℃,25℃,27.5℃,30℃の恒温条件下でそれぞれ73日,55日,36日,28日,24日,23日であった。2) 未成熟ステージの発育零点と有効積算温度は14.0℃と315日度と推定された。3) 本種は前蛹期(摂食活動を終った後の終齢幼虫)で休眠し,それは20℃定温下では14L-10Dよりやや短かい日長で誘起される。4)宮崎地方では本種は年4世代を経過する。ただし,第4世代は前蛹態で休眠し冬を越す。第1世代の加害は5月中旬に始まる。
