Abstract
A 16-year-old girl with a lifetime history of atopic dermatitis (AD) and multiple food allergies presented with complaints of worsening dermatitis over several months in the setting of 2 weeks of chills, total body redness with mild pruritus, and hair shedding. Physical examination demonstrated erythroderma, scaly plaques, overlying firm skin-colored papules (Figures 1 and 2), thinning hair of the scalp and eyebrows, and cervical and inguinal lymphadenopathy. Skin biopsy was pursued given unusual presentation, including pruritus that was less than expected for AD.
