Abstract

Single vector hydrophone can be used in Direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. And the accuracy of target azimuth judgment by manual or computer is interfered with noise, which makes DOA estimation result as energy band and fluctuated along time axis. Furthermore, it is impossible to track targets manually when DOA matrix has a large amount of data or there are multiple targets. Aiming at above problems, anew algorithm is put forward to track multiple targets. First, suppress noise in DOA matrix, and then track multiple targets in DOA matrix through constrained Delaunay triangulation, skeleton extraction and trajectory tracking. The algorithm also applies to DOA matrix output by other devices, such as radar and sonar. Sea trail results showed that it could get clearer trajectories in DOA matrix by the algorithm, which provides a new idea for multi-target tracking.
