Abstract
A new approach, the multipole theory (MT) combined with the conformal transformation method, is presented for the computation of the capacitances of slab lines with offset cylindrical bars. With this new method, the capacitances of a slab line family with offset cylindrical bars are given. These data not only permit the exact design of various offset configurations of slab lines, but also provide a known accuracy for manufacturing various coaxial configurations of slab lines. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
