Abstract

Modern systems engineering mandates the integration of heterogeneous models in systems design and analysis. Analysis of modern, mixed technology systems requires the horizontal integration of heterogeneous models for predictive analysis. The ever increasing role of performance constraints such as power, cost and throughput requires vertical integration of heterogeneous component models describing different requirements facets. The Rosetta (Alexander et al., 2000; 2001) specification language has been developed to address the issue of specification and analysis of heterogeneous models. We describe the semantics of Rosetta's specification composition in the context of systems level requirements modeling.
