Abstract

ABSTRACT Children need access to literature representing their own culture, that of their community, and cultures beyond their immediate experience. Selecting quality multicultural children's literature involves identifying and evaluating potential materials, with special consideration of cultural accuracy and authenticity. Web based resources can supplement standard selection tools and uniquely contribute to this process. Review sources, bibliographies, and guides located on the world wide web suggest quality multicultural titles for children and provide guidance for selectors in choosing authentic materials. This article lists useful web sites for selectors of multicultural children's literature.
