Abstract

MT Applicability of 2D Inversion Interpretation Using in 3D Model QIU Gengen, ZHANG Xiaobo, FANG Hui, ZHONG Qing, PEI Fagen, YUAN Yongzhen, DU Bingrui (The Institute of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration,LangFang,China,065000) Abstract: In order to investigate the applicability of the two-dimensional inversion interpretation method in three-dimensional electrical structure model, this paper designed multiple 1D/3D, 2D/3D model for numerical simulation, we analyzed the response differences inspired by three-dimensional model and two-dimensional model, as well as their inversion results. Experiments and research results show that: affected by the length of the line, it is easy to produce distortion in the bottom of the both ends of the survey line due to the boundary effect, 2D inversion results of the survey line showed an inverted trapezoidal trusted zone; In the selection sides of polarization mode, we choose the TM mode for 2D inversion under normal circumstances, which can be used to reconstruct the three-dimensional model information, what’s more, it can be less brought into a redundant configuration, followed by TM + TE mode, but we rarely used the TE mode inversion results. The TM, TE+TM, TE three modes have their advantages and disadvantages when analysing their inversion results, so we should give more consideration to the inversion results of the TM, TE+TM mode in judging the structure of the model form. When judging the low resistivity abnormal body we should be more reference the inversion results of TE, TE +TM mode. As in the judgment of high resistivity abnormal body we should be more reference the inversion results of TM, TE +TM mode.
