W czasie wizyty w Polsce w dniach 6–16 X 1978 r. pastor Billy Graham odwiedzil Warszawe, Bialystok, Poznan, Wroclaw, Katowice i Krakow, przebywal takze z krotkimi wizytami w bylym niemieckim obozie koncentracyjnym Auschwitz-Birkenau i w sanktuarium na Jasnej Gorze. Spotkal sie rowniez ze środowiskami zydowskimi w Krakowie i odwiedzil Tykocin oraz miejsce zaglady Żydow w Treblince. Przeprowadzane przez niego ewangelizacje cieszyly sie sporym zainteresowaniem wiernych (od 1200 do 15 tys. osob).
