Abstract

Overwhelming evidence indicates that chronic use of aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) protects against colorectal adenomas and cancer. These investigators provide useful information about dose and duration of intake needed to achieve an effect. Researchers used prospectively collected data on aspirin and NSAID use from the Nurses’ Health Study to assess incident risk for colorectal cancer.
