Abstract

A new method of calculating the destinations and intensities of luminescent emission in a phosphor screen with complicated boundary conditions is presented. This method traces the rays emitted from individual particles by geometrical optics using Monte Carlo procedures. Model calculations are carried out for the phosphor screen of a color picture tube.
