Abstract

Monkeys (Macaca speciosa) have been used to raise antisera against cultured human melanoma cells as well as solubilized membrane antigens from melanoma tissue. After absorption with human erythrocytes (AB, Rh+ donors) and pooled buffy coat cells (40 donors) the specificity of the antisera was studied in the microcomplement-dependent cytotoxicity test, the indirect membrane immunofluorescence test and a binding test with 125I-labeled F(ab′)2 prepared from goat IgG anti-rhesus monkey IgG.
