Abstract
The structural and thermodynamic properties of cubic boron nitride (c-BN) have been calculated by using a molecular-dynamics simulation based on the Tersoff empirical interatomic potential. Bulk properties, elastic constants, Debye temperature, thermal expansion coefficient and specific heat have all been studied using the well-tested Tersoff potential. The calculated results are in good agreement with experimental data.
