Abstract

An efficient thin dielectric sheet (TDS) model is presented to compute the radome targets made from high contrast sandwich structure material. By applying the dimensional analysis, this communication has first ever identified the intrinsic stratified distribution of the diagonal entries in the TDS model. Two scaling schemes are accordingly proposed to recover the well-conditioning of the system matrix. The proposed method can improve the computational efficiency of the radome targets considerably, benefiting the fast simulation in practical engineering.
