Abstract

A recently proposed method to introduce nonperturbative effects in quantum field theory, by suitably modifying the usual normalization conditions for the Green's functions, is discussed in the framework of the gϕ4 theory. The generating functional of then-point Green's functions is exibited. Furthermore, evidence is given for unitarity. Some implications of the formalism, both theoretical and physical are examined.
