Abstract

This paper has been prepared by comparing some quantitative and qualitative Youth Studies from past to present with descriptive analysis in order to determine the political and social changes experienced on young people in Turkey within the framework of modernization theory. In this study, together with the modernization process in Turkey, conservative and secular ideologies in political and social change with young people about the work and consideration was put into the dimensions of many quantitative and qualitative studies among young people through the concepts of polarization and blocking the data that have been evaluated. As a result, it has been seen that young people are different from adults in many areas compared to the past, as well as changing in political and social life due to the impact of the modernization process in Turkey. Although young people of different opinions and ideologies have a certain degree of separation in the sense of polarization, this line of dissociation is not as hard and precise as it is in adults. In addition, while it is thought that the youth living in Turkey, regardless of ideological point of view, will increase their faith in democracy and their fondness for autonomy with each passing time period, it is observed that young people do not otherize each other in the context of their autonomy of thought.
