Abstract
The paper highlights the results of the development and implementation of traction electrical equipment sets based on asynchronous motor-generators and traction electric motors for electromechanical transmissions of industrial shunting diesel locomotives for technological railway transport at the stage of deep modernization of the TGM-6 diesel locomotives series. In the process of modernization, the old internal combustion engine and hydromechanical transmission were replaced by TESS. The achieved indicators for improving the traction and dynamic characteristics and reliability of the locomotive, fuel economy and operating costs in comparison with serial shunting diesel locomotives with an electromechanical transmission based on synchronous generators and DC electric motors, as well as shunting diesel locomotives with hydraulic transmission are shown.
