Abstract

The present paper provides an analysis of architecture of risks for green supply chain management (GSCM) implementation in Indian paper industries. Literature and opinions of the industrial experts are used to construct the conceptual framework of risks for green supply chain management in an Indian paper industry. The objectives of this study are to analyse and identify the interrelationship between the risks for the GSCM in Indian paper industries perspective. With the literature survey and interaction with industrial experts, 32 risks under six categories were identified and with further interaction with experts 20 risks were considered for Indian paper industry perspective. Then the decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method is applied on the selected risks and key risks are found. The analysis indicates that industries need to develop better supplier relationships in order to minimise the environmental impact of a product. The findings of the study could be helpful for the industry to manage the risks and successfully implement green supply chain activities in the business.
