Abstract
In order to reduce energy cost, the use of renewable energy sources have been attracted worldwide. Therefore, wind energy conversion systems (WECS) have gained importance among renewable energy methods. Permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG) are widely used in wind power system in order to generated electrical power from low speed of wind and can be operated in the variable wind speed. Variation load conditions affect PMSG operation system. In addition to that, these conditions generate in distorted converter currents and problematic operation. In this study, a fuzzy logic control system is implemented to analyse power flow efficiency of PMSG. An 850-kW PMSG system is designed in Matlab/Simulink. The control system performance of the PMSG system is investigated in different load conditions and the operation of PMSG are comprehensively analysed. The performed analyses showed that the proposed model can be robustly utilized under different operation conditions.
