Abstract

Aming at solving the boiler steam flow prediction problem in power plants, a predictive method based on least squares support vector machine is presented. A particle swarm optimization algorithm is utilized to optimize the model accuracy. The experimental results based on practical data shows that the predictive model based on least squares support vector machine can effectively predict the main steam flow under different production conditions. The model has great stability and generalization ability and it is suitable for on-line prediction.
