Abstract
Monopulse antenna tracking system is a preferred choice when it is required to achieve high accuracy. A tracking system consists of an error-sensing module, error processing module and error correction module. The accuracy of the system depends on the performance of all three modules. The analytical methods for design parameter selection and performance prediction of tracking system become inadequate as pointing accuracy requirement increases. Simulation-based method can be used to choose design parameters and predict the accuracy of system. A two-channel monopulse tracking system is modeled using MATLAB SIMULINK, which uses stepper motor as actuator. The performance of the tracking system is evaluated using simulation and results are presented.
