Abstract

Since constant power loads are widely used in the future, stability problem of unregulated DC-DC converter feeding constant power loads (CPL) is of great importance. This paper investigates the stability of unregulated positive output super-lift converter and builds its average model and small signal model feeding CPL. The simulation results and experimental results verify that under certain restrictions this circuit could be stable in unregulated mode in CCM, and when regulated its controller design could use traditional PI regulator and bode plot design method.
