Abstract

Conventional model predictive current control (MPCC) is a novel and powerful control strategy of three-phase inverter, which has the advantages of simple concept, quick response and easy implementation. However, it is sensitive to machine parameters variation and the performance degrades significantly if there is a mismatch between the actual parameters and real machine parameters. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a model-free predictive current control (MFPCC) based on ultra-local model for PMSM drives, which only uses the input and output of system without using any parameters. The proposed MFPCC is compared to conventional MPCC and its effectiveness is confirmed by the presented simulation and experimental results.
