Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to substantiate and experimentally test the model of professional training of future specialists in tourism in higher education. It is shown that the construction of the model is based on the understanding of the training of future professionals as a holistic, open, integrative, multilevel, mobile system that meets social and educational requirements, market demands of tourism services, tourism functionality, and individual needs of students. Theoretical-methodological, structural-content, implementation-technological and criterion-analytical components of the model are defined and characterized, which reflect the purpose of professional training, methodological approaches and principles of readiness of the future specialists in tourism, organizational-methodological conditions and criteria of efficiency of this pedagogical process. It is proved that its implementation is aimed at forming the appropriate readiness for professional activity, which is considered as a system of integrative properties and personality qualities necessary for a specialist in the tourism industry.
