Abstract

We present new results for radial scale factors, R 0 , of the lateral distribution function of extensive air shower electrons. It is shown that difficulties in the direct experimental estimation of R 0 are no bar to primary mass composition deduction with weak sensitivity to hadronic interaction model implemented in calculations. Possibilities for more effective primary particles separation based on multi-component analysis are discussed.
