Abstract

Differential equations and boundary conditions are derived to interrelate the flow rates and pressures inside and outside the hydrogen-permeable capillaries of high-temperature permeators. Algorithms for solving these equations are presented. The effect of the flow direction in the high-pressure compartment and the capillary geometry on the performance characteristics of the permeators is reported.
