Abstract
The space-energy distribution of neutrons in large power reactors is a problem of practical and economic significance. The conventional multigroup finite difference methods of solution have been widely developed, but even with the resources of modern computer technology the solutions are formidable exercises in what is largely reactor arithmetic.
